Dropping off the donations at the 8th Annual Open Your Heart Pajama Sorting Party at the Fairmont

The Pajama Program provides new pajamas and books to children in need in our community. On Friday, February 27th, the group hosted the 8th Annual Open Your Heart Pajama Sorting Party at the Fairmont Hotel. Folks were able to drop off donations, and volunteers sorted through thousands of pjs and books, boxing them up to be distributed to children in foster care and shelters.

"The mission goes with giving those children dignity of bedtime, and so children in foster care particularly are often there by no fault of their own and end up with just the clothes on their back," says Pallie Zambrano, Pajama Program Bay Area Chapter President. "Giving them the opportunity to transition to bedtime with a new pair of pajamas that are theirs to keep, a book for bedtime stories to read on their own time, it gives them that opportunity."

"We are so inspired by the Pallie and all of the volunteers behind the Pajama Program," says Jessica Fragoso, Community Relations Manager at Lexus of Stevens Creek. "They work incredibly hard to give children in foster homes and shelters the gift of a bedtime story and warm pajamas. And we thank our guests for their kind hearts and donations!"
